Free-standing signs are a great way to draw attention to your building right from the street. There are two common types of free-standing signs: monument signs and pylon signs.

Monument signs

Monument signs are installed close to the ground and close to the street. Letters are mounted on a freestanding solid base or structural frame. Placing a monument sign at the entrance of your building is a great way to direct visitors and create a professional first-impression.

Pylon signs

Like monument signs, pylon signs are also freestanding — but they serve a very different purpose. Pylon signs are mounted on high poles, which is why you might hear them also referred to as pole signs. The height of these signs is their main advantage. Since they’re visible from far distances, they help passerby identify your location and set you apart from the other buildings on the street.

Both monument signs and pylon signs can incorporate custom lighting.
